As the world rebuilds from the challenges of the pandemic, a new generation of African technologists is stepping forward with purpose and innovation. Among them is Oluwatoba Abraham, a young Nigerian software and DevOps engineer whose work reflects both technical excellence and a deep sense of responsibility towards people and progress.
Oluwatoba’s interest in technology began early. Growing up short-sighted, he was fascinated by how a laser could restore clear vision. That realisation shaped his outlook on life and technology, inspiring him to use innovation to bring clarity and solutions to real human problems.
Today, Oluwatoba is a DevOps Engineer at Darey.io, where he plays a key role in building and maintaining modern infrastructure systems that keep digital platforms reliable and efficient. He is deeply involved in cloud automation, containerisation, and continuous integration, helping development teams deliver software faster, more securely, and with greater stability. His work has already improved deployment speed and reliability across several projects, showing his ability to combine precision, creativity, and discipline in fast-paced environments.
Before joining Darey.io, Oluwatoba gained valuable experience at Glasskode Technologies Solutions, where his problem-solving skills quickly stood out. He helped strengthen system resilience and improve performance for major clients including Airpeace airline. His consistency, attention to detail, and results earned him several company awards for excellence and reliability.
His passion for meaningful work also led him to co-found GlobalHealthJobs, a platform that connects healthcare professionals with critical roles around the world. The platform became a vital link for medical teams during humanitarian emergencies, showing how well-designed digital systems can support real-world impact.
Looking ahead, Oluwatoba is also developing early ideas for a new platform aimed at uniting minority healthcare professionals and gathering insight from their shared experiences. His goal is to use data and technology to give these professionals a stronger voice and representation within the health sector. It is a project that reflects his growing focus on inclusion, collaboration, and positive change.
As 2021 draws to a close, Oluwatoba Abraham stands out as one of the young innovators shaping Africa’s technology future. He represents a generation that codes with conscience, engineers with purpose, and builds not just for efficiency, but for people.
