From Dental Chair to Center Stage: ‘Dr. Cherry Enterfield’ is Redefining Dentistry Through Smiles, Service, and Art

In an age where professionals are often boxed into singular identities, Dr. Cherry Ozoalor, fondly known as ‘Cherry Entafield’, stands out as a dynamic force of nature, effortlessly blending her calling as a dental professional, creative artist, and humanitarian. As the Managing Director and Chief Dental Officer at Entafield Dental Clinic, Cherry leads one of Nigeria’s most forward-thinking dental establishments, pioneering a patient-first approach to oral healthcare that merges the warmth of traditional care with the precision of modern technology.

At Entafield Clinic, the goal goes far beyond routine dental procedures. It’s about restoring joy, confidence, and dignity to every individual who walks through the door. “Dentistry for me is more than just teeth,” Dr. Cherry says. “It’s about helping people live better, smile brighter, and face the world with renewed confidence. That’s what motivates me every single day.”

Dr. Cherry’s clinic is known not just for its state-of-the-art technology, but also for the personalized and empathetic experience it delivers. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that Entafield Clinic is a safe, welcoming place for every patient, from children with dental anxiety to professionals seeking cosmetic improvements. Under her leadership, the clinic has earned a reputation as a beacon of excellence in modern dentistry across Nigeria.

But Cherry’s impact stretches well beyond the four walls of her clinic.

She is the driving force behind the Entafield Foundation, a charitable initiative that has directly touched the lives of over 3,000 individuals across Nigeria. Through the foundation, Dr. Cherry has led a range of dental outreach programs that provide free oral healthcare, dental hygiene education, and even full tooth replacements to underserved communities. Collaborating with NGOs, private sector partners, and government institutions, the foundation bridges critical healthcare gaps in a country where dental care is still seen as a luxury by many.

One of her most ambitious projects yet is the Free Dental Outreach for 1,000 Lagos Residents, a large-scale initiative set to provide much-needed dental services to people who simply cannot afford them. “We live in a country where some people lose job opportunities just because they’re missing a tooth,” she explains. “That’s unacceptable. Everyone deserves the dignity of a smile, and we’re doing something about it.”

The upcoming outreach will see a team of licensed dentists, dental therapists, and nurses operating across several mobile units. With the support of the Lagos State Government and private health stakeholders, the campaign is set to be one of the largest free oral health interventions in recent times. Services will include extractions, fillings, cleanings, and even cosmetic replacements, procedures that are often out of reach for low-income earners.

She is also a musician and poet, and she sees no contradiction in wearing all these hats. In fact, she sees her artistic expression as a vital part of her mission. “Art and healthcare both heal in different ways,” she says. “Whether I’m performing on stage or treating a patient in the clinic, I’m present, I’m giving my all, and I’m serving. That’s what matters.”

Asked how she manages to balance these roles, Dr. Cherry answers with characteristic calm. “It’s about being intentional with your time and energy. When I’m in the clinic, I give 120 percent. When I’m in the studio, I do the same. You don’t have to tear yourself apart to be whole, you just have to honour every part of who you are.”

Her advice to young professionals and entrepreneurs? “Know who you are, and know what you want out of life. Let those two things guide your decisions. When you operate from a place of clarity, your life becomes not just purposeful, but impactful.”

Dr. Cherry also stresses the importance of people management and building the right team culture. “An entrepreneur must know how to manage human beings. People thrive when they’re doing what they love and what they’re good at. Give them that space, and you’ll see magic.”

In every aspect of her work, she represents a new generation of leadership, compassionate, competent, and community-driven. Her story is proof that career success and social impact don’t have to be mutually exclusive. They can, and should, go hand in hand.

As she prepares to lead the Entafield Foundation’s flagship dental outreach, she remains grounded in her purpose, to restore smiles, rebuild confidence, and revolutionize access to oral healthcare in Nigeria, one person, one family, one community at a time.

And whether she’s holding a dental mirror, a microphone, or a medical file, Dr. Cherry Entafield continues to serve her society with unwavering passion, making the world a better place, one smile at a time.
