PR Fusions Africa has partnered Comms Mentorship Circle (CMC) to launch To My Younger Self, a heartfelt feature-style podcast aimed at reshaping mentorship for young African communications professionals.
Hosted by Blessing Chidinma, Lead Consultant at PR Fusions Africa, the podcast dives into the real-life journeys of African PR and communications practitioners who candidly reflect on their early career experiences from setbacks and uncertainty to breakthrough moments and growth. Each conversation is designed to mirror what it truly feels like to build a communications career on the continent: trying, failing, learning and evolving in a fast-changing industry.

The podcast is an audio spin-off of CMC’s widely celebrated Dear African Comms letter series created by Adedoyin Jaiyesimi, which has become a source of inspiration and community for emerging talent across the sector. Now, through this partnership, that same spirit is being amplified through weekly episodes available on YouTube and Spotify.
With Africa’s communications landscape expanding rapidly, To My Younger Self seeks to democratise access to mentorship by presenting hard-earned professional wisdom in a relatable, peer-to-peer format rather than through traditional gatekept networks. Every episode captures advice professionals wish they had at the start of their journey while unpacking topical issues such as burnout, career pivots, imposter syndrome, self-confidence, and navigating agency, nonprofit, media, and corporate pathways.
In addition to guest interviews, the podcast spotlights user-submitted letters and reflections, encouraging early-career professionals to join the storytelling movement and contribute to a growing archive of African communications wisdom.
