In a gesture that blended compassion with community spirit, the UBA Foundation the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of United Bank for Africa reached out to some of Lagos’ most vulnerable with a heartwarming charity outreach , visiting So-Said Charity Homes Community and SOS Children’s Village.

SOS Children’s Village Lagos, part of the global SOS Children’s Villages network, offers family-style care, education, and emotional support for children who have lost parental care. Beyond meeting immediate needs, it focuses on nurturing each child’s long-term growth and integration into society.

Both organizations serve hundreds of residents every year but often depend heavily on donations and partnerships to keep running.

As part of its outreach, UBA Foundation delivered truckloads of essential food items rice, beans, cooking oil, and other staples aimed at easing the strain of daily expenses.

For So-Said Charity Homes, these supplies mean uninterrupted meal services and the chance to redirect scarce funds to healthcare and maintenance. For SOS Children’s Village, it ensures balanced nutrition for children while keeping education and extracurricular programs on track.
