Born in Nigeria in the early 1990s and later moving to the United Kingdom as a teenager, Silas has become one of the most creative engineers of his time. His love for technology started young. At the University of the West of England, he studied robotics and graduated with top honors.

In 2013, he co-founded Reach Robotics and introduced the world to MekaMon, a four-legged robot that could move like a living creature and also connect with augmented reality gaming. The invention caught international attention and even led to a major deal with Apple, making it the first consumer robot to be sold in Apple stores in the UK and U.S.
Though Reach Robotics eventually closed in 2019, it was still a huge achievement that opened doors for Silas. Instead of seeing it as failure, he used the experience to launch even bigger ideas.
He created Awarri, a company focused on teaching robotics and AI across Africa. One of its bold projects is building Africa’s first multilingual AI language model, giving voice to local languages and cultures in tech.
He also started Reach Industries, which develops advanced technology for science labs. Its product Lumi uses AI to help scientists automate their work, saving time and boosting creativity.
