Nigerian technologist and entrepreneur, Victor Alade is charting a bold path for Africa’s digital economy.
As co-founder of Raenest, launched in 2022, Alade has leveraged his experience at Acumen Fund, Andela, JumiaPay, and Jostpay to tackle the financial and technical barriers that have long limited African freelancers, remote workers, and business owners from fully participating in the global economy.

What began as a vision to make cross-border payments seamless has now evolved into a critical fintech platform empowering over 700,000 users and facilitating more than $1 billion in transactions. Raenest’s flagship product, Geegpay, provides multi-currency accounts in USD, GBP, and EUR, along with virtual and physical dollar cards, international invoicing, currency conversion, and fast cross-border payments. This suite of tools is redefining how Africans earn, manage, and move money across borders.
In line with its mission to accelerate Africa’s global economic participation, Raenest is hosting Raenest Exchange 2025 on October 9, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. The conference promises to be a landmark event, gathering African founders, freelancers, creators, business owners, and investors under one roof.
Attendees can look forward to keynote addresses and interactive sessions from global and African thought leaders in fintech, technology, and digital innovation. Topics will range from scaling businesses across borders to navigating the future of work and unlocking new revenue streams for Africa’s growing tech ecosystem. Moreover, participants will receive exclusive early access to a major announcement from Raenest, signaling the next phase in transforming financial access for the continent.
Beyond the sessions, Raenest Exchange 2025 is designed to foster authentic connections. Networking opportunities and a community-focused after-party will create spaces for collaboration, mentorship, and funding, particularly for early-stage entrepreneurs seeking entry into global markets.
