Founded by His Majesty King Charles III, The King’s Trust International (KTI) is dedicated to tackling the global crisis of youth unemployment. Since its inception in 2015, the Trust has supported millions of young people worldwide, helping them build the confidence and skills to learn, earn, and thrive. Its programmes now span 20 countries across the Commonwealth and beyond, reaching regions in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Europe.
Last year alone, seven in ten young people who participated in its employability programmes successfully entered the labour market, while enterprise initiatives empowered many to start their own businesses. To date, the Trust’s global network of partners has reached nearly four million young people, with more than 100,000 directly supported through its training and mentorship programmes.
The appointment of the Aig-Imoukhuedes reinforces KTI’s commitment to amplifying the voices of young Africans and ensuring their needs are central to shaping sustainable futures that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on quality education and decent work.
