Segun Adeyemo’s journey with technology started early. As a primary school pupil, weekly computer lessons exposed him to desktop computers that felt almost magical at the time. Learning how to switch on a system, open simple design software, and create something from scratch sparked a curiosity that never left him.

That curiosity grew outside the classroom. At home, he explored his father’s gadgets. As a teenager, he spent time in cybercafes, used MP3 players and early phones, and joined online chat rooms. These experiences helped him understand how people connect with technology long before Nigeria’s digital economy began to grow.
Adeyemo officially began his career in 2012 at an international travel company, managing digital communications at a time when social media was still new. It was a fast-learning environment that taught him how digital tools could shape business growth. He later moved into the fashion industry, working on digital strategy for luxury brands across Europe, the UK, the US, and South Africa. These years sharpened his understanding of branding, consumer behaviour, and global markets.
His career then expanded into real estate and agency management, followed by a short but important role at First Bank. There, he worked on onboarding thousands of customers onto early mobile and USSD banking platforms. This experience gave him a deep understanding of scale, access, and financial inclusion.
In 2020, Adeyemo joined Sterling Bank to manage GoMoney during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pressure was high, but so was the opportunity. By focusing on product clarity and user needs, the team achieved product-market fit and strong growth. This success prepared him for his next major challenge.
At Kuda Bank, Adeyemo played a key role in scaling the digital bank from about two million to five million customers. The true measure of success came when everyday Nigerians, fuel attendants, artisans, and service workers, began using Kuda naturally. That moment confirmed that the product had reached the mass market. Confident in the impact made, he stepped away to build something new.

Sava Global was founded with a simple mission: help African startups scale. The company began as a growth marketing agency, working with brands to improve reach, structure, and performance. Over time, Adeyemo noticed a common challenge. Many founders had strong ideas but lacked the confidence and bold execution needed to scale. This insight led Sava to evolve into a venture studio.
Today, Sava Global builds its own products while supporting others. One of them is Travla, a platform designed to help young Africans travel more easily, gain exposure, and unlock opportunities. For Adeyemo, travel was life-changing, and Travla reflects his belief that movement leads to growth.
Despite his success in marketing and growth, Adeyemo studied Banking and Finance. His strength, he believes, comes from observation, creativity, and a deep understanding of human behaviour. These skills have guided his leadership style and decision-making.
Technology now powers most of his work, from research and writing to automation and product development. While it saves time, he believes discipline is essential. Tools must be understood, not blindly adopted. One tool he values deeply is ChatGPT, which he uses daily to learn, test ideas, and keep pace with the rapid evolution of AI.
Looking ahead, Adeyemo believes the future of technology will be fast and disruptive. Those who succeed will be the ones who prepare early, stay adaptable, and remain grounded. His story shows that leadership is built through curiosity, consistency, and the courage to evolve, and that success grows when learning never stops.
