Business magnate Dr. Cosmas Maduka has shared an intimate reflection on his life and career, emphasizing how discipline, character, and faith shaped his rise from humble beginnings to the helm of Coscharis Group.
“I was born into modest beginnings. I lost my father at a very young age, and life forced responsibility on me earlier than most. I did not grow up with privilege or comfort. I grew up with hardship, discipline, and the determination to survive,” Maduka recounted.

Starting as an apprentice, he learned the trade from the ground up, performing menial tasks while enduring rejection and challenges. “I swept floors, carried loads, and endured rejection. Many times, I had nothing but my word and my integrity. But I discovered something powerful in those years: when you have no capital, character becomes your capital. Honest work shaped me. Patience trained me. Faith anchored me,” he said.
The journey to building Coscharis Group was neither linear nor easy. “The path to success was marked by long seasons of waiting, mistakes, correction, and quiet obedience. What people see today is the visible outcome of invisible years. Success did not come because I was clever, but because God was faithful and principles were obeyed,” he explained.
Reflecting on the personal growth his journey brought, Maduka said: “Every delay protected me. Every hardship prepared me. Every lesson refined me. The business was not built overnight, it was built with purpose, integrity, and patience.”
He offered advice to aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals: “Build slowly. Walk humbly. Honour God. Protect your name. Success that endures is rooted in character. Let your integrity be your capital, and everything else will follow.”
