“The meeting focused on strengthening institutional synergy, fostering strategic collaboration, and exploring opportunities for knowledge sharing and innovation that will enhance service delivery, deepen organizational excellence, and support the continued transformation of the National Revenue Service,” the statement read.

He added that the visit reinforced the importance of partnerships in building stronger public institutions and advancing Nigeria’s economic development.

The meeting comes at a time when the National Revenue Service is accelerating reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s revenue administration as a catalyst for sustainable economic growth. Under the leadership of Dr. Adedeji, the Service has pursued wide-ranging initiatives to modernize tax administration, expand the national tax base, improve voluntary compliance, simplify processes through digital innovation, and strengthen stakeholder engagement. These reforms are designed to boost domestic revenue mobilisation, reduce leakages, create a more transparent and efficient tax ecosystem, and provide government with the resources needed to finance critical infrastructure, social services, and long-term economic development.

The NRS has also intensified collaboration with government institutions, the private sector, development partners, and professional bodies to promote a more business-friendly tax environment while ensuring fairness, accountability, and improved service delivery. The Service’s transformation agenda aligns with the Federal Government’s broader economic reform programme, which seeks to enhance fiscal sustainability, attract investment, and stimulate inclusive growth.
