Business magnate and President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of building a $1 trillion Nigerian economy is both realistic and achievable, pledging that the Dangote Group is targeting $100 billion in revenue by 2030, equivalent to 10 per cent of the national economic ambition.
Dangote made the remarks while receiving the Minister of State for Industry, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan Enoh, alongside senior officials of the ministry, heads of government agencies, and the President’s Special Adviser during a visit.

According to him, the Dangote Group has aligned its long-term corporate strategy with the Federal Government’s economic agenda, noting that the conglomerate’s growth plans were deliberately designed to support the country’s ambition of expanding its economy to $1 trillion.
“The vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to build a $1 trillion economy is the right vision, and I believe it is achievable. At Dangote Group, we have carved out our own target of contributing $100 billion to that vision, representing about 10 per cent of the national goal, and we are confident it can be accomplished,” he said.
Dangote also commended President Tinubu for appointing committed leaders to drive Nigeria’s industrialisation agenda, paying special tribute to the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, for what he described as the significant strides being made in advancing Nigeria’s industrial sector.
He praised Senator Enoh’s commitment to promoting industrial development, attracting investments and supporting policies that strengthen the manufacturing sector, noting that such leadership is critical to achieving the administration’s economic objectives.
“I must thank Mr. President for appointing people who are genuinely committed to delivering results. We have seen several ministers in this portfolio over the years, but the level of commitment we are witnessing today is exceptional. The ministry is central to achieving the President’s vision because it is responsible for creating employment and attracting investment,” Dangote stated.
He added that while Nigeria’s immediate priority should be expanding domestic production and industrial capacity, the country’s trade potential would naturally grow as local industries become more competitive.
“When Nigeria achieves the scale of production required for a $1 trillion economy, we will then be in a stronger position to expand exports and trade our products beyond our borders,” he added.
