Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group), Temi Popoola, has congratulated Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc on the approval of its first-ever interim dividend, describing the milestone as a significant achievement that reinforces the strength, resilience and growing sophistication of Nigeria’s capital market.

Reacting to the announcement, Popoola said the decision by CSCS to declare its maiden interim dividend reflects the institution’s robust financial performance, sound corporate governance and unwavering commitment to creating sustainable value for shareholders.

He noted that the Company’s outstanding first-half 2026 financial performance, including a 92 percent increase in operating income, 186 percent growth in operating profit and a 115 percent rise in profit before tax, demonstrates the strategic importance of strong market infrastructure institutions in deepening investor confidence and supporting long-term market development.

“CSCS remains a critical pillar of Nigeria’s capital market ecosystem. This landmark achievement reflects years of disciplined execution, operational excellence and strategic investments that continue to strengthen the efficiency, transparency and resilience of our market infrastructure,” Popoola said.

According to him, the declaration of an interim dividend is more than a financial milestone; it is a strong signal of confidence in the institution’s future and its ability to consistently deliver value while investing in innovation, technology and operational excellence.

He commended the Chairman of the Board, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Shehu Shantali, the Board of Directors, management, employees and stakeholders of CSCS for their collective leadership and dedication in positioning the Company for sustained growth.
